About

Tim trained with Burges Salmon and is now a director in the firm’s corporate finance team. His practice covers all areas of corporate finance, specialising in mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions across the education, training, recruitment and technology sectors, among others.

He has been advising institutions, founders and management teams on complex exit processes and acquisitions/investments for more than fifteen years and therefore understands the priorities and concerns from both sides of a transaction.

  • Impact Futures: Advising the majority shareholders of the national training provider delivering apprenticeships and vocational qualifications into the health, social care and early years sectors on receiving investment from August Equity.
  • BGF: Advising on a series of investments including wine brand developer and distributor Off-Piste Wines, tool supplier Troy and engineering consultancy Hydrock.
  • Eton Bridge Partners: Advising the founder shareholders of the leading executive search, interim management and consulting firm, on the sale to Elysian Capital.
  • The Safeguarding Company: Advising the founder shareholders on the acquisition of the company, a provider of solutions that prevent, reduce and eliminate abuse, harm and neglect and protect the wellbeing, health and human rights of children and adults all over the world, by Tes, a leading international provider of digital solutions to schools.
  • Management of Trustmarque: Advising the management team on the £110m buyout of Trustmarque Solutions from Capita plc by One Equity Partners.
  • ATA: Advising the Irish precision-engineering multinational on the acquisition of specialist UK tooling supplier, Industrial Tooling Corporation.
