About

Nicole trained at Burges Salmon via the legal apprenticeship route and qualified into the Dispute Resolution team in September 2024. She has experience advising on regulatory crime, civil fraud, and commercial litigation matters. Nicole completed an in-house secondment with a client in 2022 and is a member of the Young Fraud Lawyer’s Association.

She also advises high-net-worth individuals, corporate and government clients in a wide variety of commercial disputes and has a particular interest in IP disputes and sports law and governance. She is a former participant of the Global Law in Sport mentoring programme.

  • Complex multi-jurisdictional claim: Advising a client in relation to a complex multi-jurisdictional claim concerning a portfolio of assets listed for a two-week trial.
  • BBC and Virgin: Advising the BBC and Virgin in disputes before the Company Names Tribunal.
  • Brooks Running: Acting for a leading US running shoe brand in a claim for trade mark infringement and passing off brought by Puma, about use of the word ‘NITRO’ in relation to nitrogen-infused running shoes.
  • Quasi-government body: Acting for a quasi-government body in a damages inquiry, for breach of contract and copyright and database right infringement.
  • Commercial contract disputes: Advising on a range of general commercial disputes ranging from breach of contract, shareholder disputes and breach of trust.
