Senior Associate

About

Pip is a Senior Associate in the Employment team. She advises employers and employees in the public, private and third sectors on a range of contentious and non-contentious matters, covering the life cycle of the employment relationship, as well as on corporate/commercial transactions.

In her spare time, Pip chairs the Board of Trustees of Bath Mind (a local mental health charity affiliated with National Mind) and she sits on various National Mind Mental Health Committees.

Pip regularly provides training and speaks at events across the UK on a range of employment law matters, including mental health and equality, diversity and inclusion.

Experience

  • EQUANS: Two secondments totalling 15 months as senior in house counsel, negotiating TUPE provisions, advising on complex ER complaints, large scale restructures, redundancies and trade union issues. Pip sat on the executive HR leadership committee.
  • RHS: Advising the RHS on a wide range of employment issues, including complex grievances, whistleblowing and discrimination claims, and providing strategic advice to the People Director and Senior Leadership Teams.
  • Babcock: Providing regular HR advice, including in relation to disciplinary matters and dismissals and drafting documentation for negotiated exits and settlements
  • BAE Systems: Managing complex employment tribunal claims, including a multiparty class action TUPE outsourcing claim and complex discrimination, whistleblowing and unfair dismissal claims.
  • Providing HR and line manager training on mental health and discrimination.
