Stakeholder engagement is about listening to the views of others who have an interest in our firm, as well as informing them about our activities and progress against their expectations.
Stakeholder engagement is important to us as it keeps us informed and supports our continuous improvement. More generally, it gives various associated groups a voice and the opportunity to comment on decisions that may impact them. Stakeholder engagement is driven by transparency, accountability and seeking positive outcomes.
We have identified our stakeholders as our clients, our people, suppliers, community and environmental groups, legal sector bodies and competitors, our network of preferred firms, regulators and governance bodies, and the wider business community.
We engage with our stakeholders in order to inform our operational decisions and strategic direction. In addition to our general regular interactions, we have developed a specific stakeholder engagement programme to gain feedback on our approach and performance with regard to responsible business.
We participate in a number of networks and attend relevant conferences, roundtables, seminars and forums. Relevant examples are the CBI, the International Bar Association, Business in the Community, the UN Global Compact UK and the Legal Sustainability Alliance. We also host a number of events at the firm and commission relevant insight reports.
