The introduction of the business professional apprenticeship
Our legal apprenticeship programme offers you the opportunity to qualify as a solicitor. Based in our Bristol office, you will complete the Level 3 Paralegal and Level 7 Solicitor apprenticeships over a period of six years – the same time frame as completing a law degree, SQE and training contract. Each year, we take on four legal apprentices to start their journey to qualification as a solicitor.
With our programme, you will spend four days a week working at the firm and one day studying towards a formal legal qualification. Throughout the apprenticeship, you will work across our legal departments, gaining the invaluable breadth of experience you need to succeed as a qualified lawyer.
Our legal apprenticeships are delivered in tandem with BPP University, where in your first two years you will work towards a Level 3 Paralegal Apprenticeship and Certificate in Legal Practice. This helps you decide if law is the right career for you, before diving into the solicitor programme at a later stage.
Those who wish to continue with their studies can continue on to the Level 7 Solicitor programme and achieve a law degree as part of the path to qualification. Through this, you will complete the Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE).
Alongside our legal apprenticeships, we have previously taken apprentices into the Finance, Marketing, Project Management and IT teams in our Bristol office. Between two to four years in duration, our business apprenticeships allow you to make a splash, with the opportunity to continue working with us after your apprenticeship ends.
Unlike the legal apprenticeship, the level of apprenticeship and programme of study is not set, and instead varies from department to department, with some areas offering integrated degree apprenticeships. Sign up below for the latest updates on business professional apprentice opportunities.
