Our supportive, collaborative culture will help you develop your professional and personal skills, with guidance from other team members on how to successfully ride the waves on your journey with the firm.

An apprenticeship will give you practical insight into a career and help you to develop transferable skills that will be valued in any profession. Strengthen your CV with hands-on work experience, helping you to build commercial acumen, self-awareness, commitment and initiative.

As a member of the legal sector Trailblazer group, we helped to shape new apprenticeship standards and were one of the first firms to offer paralegal and solicitor apprenticeships.

With our renowned teaching and experience, competitive starting salaries above national living wage, and opportunities to learn from experts, why not take the leap with Burges Salmon?

Business apprenticeships

Alongside our legal apprenticeships, we have previously taken apprentices into the Finance, Marketing, Project Management and IT teams in our Bristol office. Between two to four years in duration, our business apprenticeships allow you to make a splash, with the opportunity to continue working with us after your apprenticeship ends.

Unlike the legal apprenticeship, the level of apprenticeship and programme of study is not set, and instead varies from department to department, with some areas offering integrated degree apprenticeships. Sign up below for the latest updates on business professional apprentice opportunities.

Diversity & inclusion

We are a Disability Confident Leader via government accreditation, which means we have tested and strengthened our recruitment and people processes, to ensure that our employment opportunities are inclusive and welcoming to people with disabilities or long-term health conditions.

We utilise Rare Contextual across all our recruitment processes to contextualise candidates’ success in comparison to their background and socio-economic position.

Our Resourcing team facilitates adjustments to our recruitment processes for any candidates who require them, so we can offer equitable experiences. We also have support from a disability specialist organisation to ensure we follow best practice.
