BEnabled is open to anyone who identifies as disabled or who has an impairment or long-term health condition. It is also for those who care for someone else or those who have a general interest in this area. The group supports the firm in being an accessible and inclusive place to work and acts as a safe and supportive forum for its members.
Key projects:
- Learning sessions: BEnabled has hosted a number of firm-wide learning sessions on topics related to disabiltiy and impairment. For example, recent sessions have covered deaf awareness and neurodiversity as an asset to teams and disability in the workplace.
- Accessibility improvements: Our disability specialist community partner, WECIL, has completed accessibility audits of all of our UK offices. A working group comprised of BEnabled members and our Facilities Team has collaborated to making our spaces even more inclusive based on WECIL’s recommendations, such as applying braille to taps and changing signage.
