We are experts in the management and co-ordination of restructuring and redundancy exercises which may also include changes to terms and conditions of employment. 

From managing large-scale restructuring exercises across a number of different sites or jurisdictions through to advising on smaller scale redundancy programmes, we shape our advice around the needs of our clients. We take the time to understand your strategic goals and draw on our expertise across our key sectors to advise on complex restructuring and redundancy issues.

Our experience means we can be proactive about identifying and heading off potential problems and we will simplify decision-making to ensure that programmes run smoothly.

In addition to legal support, our advice can include input into your consultation strategy, supporting on internal and external communications – and we have significant experience of advising on situations where the redundancy exercise is likely to be high profile. We can also support effective consultation with trade unions and employee representative bodies and can also offer line manager and HR training to support the process.

Advising a multinational defence and aerospace company on a major restructuring involving 1,700 potential redundancies at sites across the UK. Also advising on a number of other large-scale and high profile restructurings.

Advising on a significant redundancy/restructure across an aerospace, defence and nuclear engineering services provider involving multiple legal entities, functions and locations across the UK and spanning a 12 month time period.

Advising a government department on a major children’s services restructuring project for a Council involving the employment aspects of establishing the relevant Trust, the TUPE transfer of over 900 staff and TUPE consultation with trade unions.

Advising an international sports council on a major restructure of its UK operations.

Supporting a large international entity in a time critical closure of its operations in the UK involving a collective redundancy consultation process.

Advising a global manufacturing company on a site closure involving around 900 redundancies.
