In this on-demand webinar, organised by the UK HFCA and chaired by Ross Fairley, Partner and Head of the Renewable Team at Burges Salmon, UK HFCA launch their new Position Paper, which sets out for the first time a UK timeline for green hydrogen to 2050 – a clear route for developing a significant green hydrogen industrial base in the UK, which is necessary to ensure the country’s leadership in hydrogen innovation.
The webinar includes an introduction to the Paper from Chris Jackson, Chair of the UK HFCA Green Hydrogen Working Group and CEO of Protium Green Solutions. This is followed by a panel discussion hosted by Ross Fairley, chair of Net Zero Services at Burges Salmon. Panellists include: Marcus Newborough, Technical Director at ITM Power; Daryl Wilson, Executive Director and Head of the Hydrogen Council; Dr Jenifer Baxter; Chief Engineer at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and Director - Innovation and Policy at Protium Green Solutions; Matthew Knight, Head Of Business Development at Siemens Energy UK; and Alexander Stafford (MP).
The panellists and a representative from government consider:
- The vision for Green Hydrogen out to 2050;
- What Green Hydrogen offers the UK; and
- How Green Hydrogen deployment can be accelerated to help deliver net zero and form a core plank of the UK’s Post-COVID economic 'build back green' recovery.
