Independent UK law firm Burges Salmon has advised Spain-headquartered Lucta, S.A., a global manufacturer of fragrances, flavours and feed additives, on its acquisition of Quintessence Fragrances Limited, a UK-based fragrance supplier with operations in China, France, the UAE and USA. Burges Salmon also partnered with Indian law firm Khaitan & Co, part of its international Preferred Firm Network, to assist Lucta with its parallel acquisition of Quintessence Fragrances Private Limited, an India-based affiliate.
The acquisitions will strengthen Lucta’s global fragrance capabilities and allow it, in partnership with Quintessence, to open new commercial segments in home care and fine fragrances.
