Independent UK law firm Burges Salmon has advised Drax Energy Solutions, part of renewable energy company Drax Group, on its acquisition of BMM Energy Solutions, a UK electric vehicle (EV) charge point installer.
The deal sees BMM Energy Solutions become a wholly owned subsidiary of Drax Energy Solutions with the acquisition strengthening Drax’s end-to-end charging proposition to UK businesses and reaffirming its commitment to supporting them achieve their Net Zero ambitions.
The Burges Salmon team advising Drax was led by partner Danny Lee and associate Victoria MacAulay from the firm’s Corporate Group, working closely with Sarah Graham, Deputy General Counsel at Drax. They were supported by a multidisciplinary team advising on tax (Rishi Naidoo), commercial (Matt Loader and Lucy Pegler) and real estate (Andy Brown) matters.
