Icomera has completed the acquisition of GoMedia Services Limited, a customer-facing digital solutions provider for transport operators.
A subsidiary of ENGIE Solutions, Icomera is a leading provider of passenger Wi-Fi for public transport. In acquiring GoMedia, Icomera is set to drive increased passenger engagement and satisfaction for transport operators through its provision of comprehensive end-to-end passenger information and entertainment.
Marie-Pierre Assogba, international in-house counsel at ENGIE, comments: “Once again, Icomera UK chose to use the M&A team at Burges Salmon. It was really challenging to work on an acquisition during the COVID-19 lockdown, but thanks to the professionalism and the availability of the team, we managed to successfully complete the project within the original timeline. Thanks a lot to Bethan, Alex and to the rest of the team for their input.”
Burges Salmon’s Corporate team advising Icomera on the acquisition was led by partner Camilla Usher-Clark with support from senior associate Alex Lloyd and associate Bethan Penrhyn-Jones.
Camilla says: “Icomera’s acquisition of GoMedia will not only improve passengers’ on-board experience but will help to further digitalise public transport and encourage increased use of sustainable forms of transport. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with Icomera again and it was a real team effort to bring the transaction to a successful conclusion.”
