Burges Salmon has advised Kaisen Consulting on the sale of its business to Deloitte. Kaisen was established in 1991 and rapidly became a pre-eminent leadership consulting practice with operations in the UK and US.
Kaisen’s executive leadership took the strategic decision to sell to Deloitte to enable the further globalisation of the business and development of a global leadership consulting practice. Deloitte had worked with Kaisen for the past five years in the UK and internationally.
Corporate partner Nick Graves led the Burges Salmon team advising on the transaction together with corporate senior associate Julie Book. US advice was provided by Todd M. Schild of Thompson Hine.
Commenting on the transaction Marjorie Knight, Chair of Kaisen Consulting, said: “This was an important deal for us and for Kaisen as we move the business on to the next stage of its development into a global business. We could not have achieved this without the excellent support provided by Nick Graves and Julie Book of Burges Salmon. They guided us through the sale process and were instrumental in helping us achieve completion on time. Their advice was always clear and tailored to our individual needs - nothing was ever too much trouble for the team at Burges Salmon.”
Nick Graves said: “It was a pleasure to work with the founders of Kaisen Consulting and support them on this important transaction. We wish the combined Kaisen and Deloitte team every success in developing this global brand to its fullest potential.”
