Nuclear industry specialists from UK leading law firm Burges Salmon have advised Logística y Acondicionamientos Industriales SA (LAINSA), a Grupo Dominguis company, on its acquisition of Nuclear Decommissioning Services Limited (NDSL).
Grupo Dominguis is a large Spanish engineering business that has recently set up a UK subsidiary with its registered office in Bristol. It views its acquisition of NDSL as a strategically important step into the UK nuclear sector and intends to use NDSL as a base for introducing its innovative engineering methods into the UK decommissioning and new build market. NDSL is a long established UK nuclear business with decommissioning experience on many UK licensed sites including at Dounreay.
Burges Salmon’s Nuclear team was led by Corporate Finance partner Nick Graves with assistance from senior associate Edward Barratt. Support was provided from around the firm, including its Employment, Construction and Private Client teams. Nuclear Partner (and client relationship partner) Ian Salter advised on the nuclear regulatory issues.
