Burges Salmon’s Corporate team has advised Nutritics, a market-leading food and health software solutions provider, on its strategic acquisition of Ten Kites, a menu publishing platform that enables food businesses to publish fully compliant, personalised digital menus across web pages, mobile apps and digital displays.
The acquisition of Ten Kites’ platform enables Dublin-based Nutritics to broaden its overall software offering, delivering increased value and business benefits to its customers – which include a wide range of food businesses and health, sport and education professionals – across 100 countries.
Ten Kites works with some of the UK’s biggest multi-brand groups with thousands of sites, including TGI Fridays, Fullers Pubs, Shepherd Neame, Carluccios and Wagamama. Its acquisition by Nutritics will also support its international expansion, providing access to new market segments across Europe, Middle East and Australia.
Stephen Nolan, managing director of Nutritics, says: “We are delighted to be able to complete this significant acquisition and start to bring Ten Kites’ remarkable technology to our customers worldwide as we continue to scale internationally. We are very grateful for the expertise, diligence and professionalism of the Burges Salmon team in supporting us through the acquisition and making the next part of our journey possible.”
The Burges Salmon team advising on the transaction was led by director Alex Lloyd with support from associate Bethan Penrhyn-Jones, solicitor Elena Kaltsas and trainee solicitor Ben Edwards.
Alex adds: “This is a very exciting acquisition for Nutritics and for the food and hospitality industry more generally as it becomes increasingly dependent on smart tools to enable businesses to offer their customers greater transparency. We’re delighted to have worked with Stephen and the team to make this possible and we wish Nutritics and Ten Kites all the best in this impressive new partnership.”
