Burges Salmon’s Incentives and Employment team has advised senior management at Roper Rhodes on the company’s sale to Swedish group, Svedbergs.
Headquartered in Bath, Roper Rhodes is a well-established South West supplier and designer of bathroom furniture and products in the United Kingdom, with more than 40 years experienced in the industry and a diverse client base. It is anticipated that the acquisition of Roper Rhodes is now set to see Svedbergs become one of the leading bathroom suppliers in selected markets in Europe.
Svedbergs was founded in 1920 and have been making bathroom furniture since 1962. They are the market leader in the Nordic region and have been noted on the Stockholm exchange since 1962.
Burges Salmon partner, Nigel Watson, and senior associates, Pip Galland and Megan Summers, advised the senior management team on incentive structuring and employment matters.
Simon Taylor, Marketing Director at Roper Rhodes, comments: “Sincere thanks to Burges Salmon who were a pleasure to work with on this transaction.”
Nigel Watson adds: “Roper Rhodes’ acquisition by Svedberg is an exciting next step for the company and its talented management team. We wish them all the best and look forward to seeing the business distribute its high quality bathroom furniture further in Europe.”
