Independent UK law firm Burges Salmon advised Tritax Big Box on the successful acquisition of a 626,000 sq ft distribution centre from a private seller for £74.25 million. This strategic acquisition enhances Tritax Big Box's portfolio of prime logistics assets across the UK.
The state-of-the-art distribution centre, located in a key logistics hub at junction 23 of the M6 between Liverpool and Manchester, will play a crucial role in supporting Tritax Big Box's long-term growth strategy by providing high-quality, strategically located logistics space to meet the increasing demand from occupiers.
The Burges Salmon team advising Tritax Big Box on this acquisition comprised partner Ross Polkinghorne, associate Rhys Langley and solicitor Megan Long from the firm’s real estate team and from its corporate team, partner AJ Venter, senior associates Oli Gingell and Gregory Nash, and associate Scott Paterson.
Ross Polkinghorne comments: "We’re pleased to have supported Tritax Big Box on this significant acquisition. The transaction underscores our expertise in advising on high-value logistics real estate deals and our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients."
Aaron Hulait, Transaction Director, from Tritax Big Box REIT adds: "This acquisition is a testament to our ongoing strategy of investing in prime logistics assets that offer strong growth potential. We are grateful for the expert advice and support provided by the Burges Salmon team, which has been instrumental in completing this transaction smoothly and efficiently."
This latest deal follows Burges Salmon being appointed last year as a property legal advisor for Tritax Big Box REIT, along with the firm’s Corporate team advising it at the beginning of this year on a major data centre joint venture at Heathrow.
