The Real Estate, Construction and Planning teams from Burges Salmon have been re-appointed to the legal panel of property developer HAB Housing.
HAB, which was established in 2007 by the writer, designer, broadcaster and developer Kevin McCloud, has appointed Burges Salmon to advise it in relation to real estate planning and construction, with a focus on sustainable development.
HAB is launching a custom-built homes offering to the market, which will provide customers with the choice of buying a home at one of five stages from serviced plot, via a shell to a completed house. HAB, which has plans to scale up to the delivery of 1,000 homes every year by 2018, raised nearly £2 million on the equity crowdfunding platform Crowdcube last year towards the business expansion.
Burges Salmon Real Estate partner Ross Polkinghorne commented: “We are delighted to have secured this appointment from our existing client HAB, to provide legal advice in relation to real estate planning and construction. HAB is currently going through a key period of growth and we are pleased to be involved at this exciting stage of its development.”
