Burges Salmon celebrates 26 years of the Investors in People accreditation, on 30th anniversary of the organisation’s conception.
Investors in People (IiP) is the international standard for people management, defining what it takes to lead, support and manage people effectively to achieve sustainable results and enabling organisations to benchmark against the best in the business on an international scale.
To celebrate the organisation’s 30th anniversary, Burges Salmon has shared its IiP story, highlighting the work of IiP in helping the firm demonstrate its passion for people and working together with it to embed an ambitious five-year strategy.
The 26 year partnership between Burges Salmon and IiP was further cemented in June 2021 with Burges Salmon receiving the Platinum ‘We invest in people’ accreditation and again at the November 2021 Investors in People Awards, with the firm being shortlisted in the 'Employer of the Year: Platinum (250+)' category. The three-year Platinum accreditation followed an in-depth assessment carried out by IiP through one-to-one interviews, focus groups, observations of key meetings and people surveys. The prestigious recognition is particularly noteworthy having been achieved during COVID-19.
Victoria Goldsworthy, from Burges Salmon’s Learning & Development team, comments: “We are delighted to be celebrating with Investors in People its prestigious 30th anniversary. As a long-standing and committed member of the accreditation, Burges Salmon understands how important it is that organisations like this exist and praises firms that understand the value of their people in an open and inclusive environment.”
