Burges Salmon has launched an updated version of the Burges Salmon Guide for Farmers and Landowners, known as The Pink Book 2. This essential guide to the law for landowners and farmers, originally launched in December 2011, has been substantially revised and updated.
Among the 16 new articles is a new section on ‘Food and Agri Business – relations with the customers’, which cover topics including contracts, brand protection, food law and safety, and anti-competitive practices. The guide gives readers a clear, practical understanding of key issues likely to affect their businesses.
William Neville, partner and head of Food, Farming and Land at Burges Salmon, said: “We launched the original Pink Book two years ago, which clients have told us they found to be relevant and useful in their working lives. It is definitely not a textbook. It provides easy access to help busy people navigate their way through modern commercial life.”
Each chapter contains a series of articles with worked examples, case studies and tabulated data to illustrate the topics under discussion. This includes what procedures have to be followed in dealing with issues such as planning, employment and risk management.
