Burges Salmon has been named Trainee and Junior Lawyer Firm of the Year 2017 at the inaugural Legal Cheek Awards.
Taking place on Thursday 16 March, legal commentary and careers advice news website Legal Cheek held its awards at Finsbury Square in London. Winning firms were announced for each category of the Legal Cheek Trainee and Junior Lawyer Survey, which were selected from shortlists for categories including Training, Quality of Work, Peer Support, Partner Approachability, Work/Life Balance, International Secondment Opportunities, Perks, Workplace, Canteen, Social Life, and Most Admired Law Firm. There were further awards for Best Use of Social Media, Best Institution-Run Commercial Awareness Blog and Best Legal Cheek Journal Contribution.
Burges Salmon chief people officer Robert Halton says:
"Because this accolade of Trainee and Junior Law Firm of the Year is awarded to the law firm with the overall strongest performance across all categories, we are particularly pleased to have been successful as it is a ringing endorsement from our junior people from right within the firm."
Legal Cheek was founded in 2011 by Alex Aldridge, formerly a journalist for The Guardian and Legal Week.
This latest accolade comes on the back of Burges Salmon being named Best Legal Workplace at the HR in Law Awards 2016.
