Drew Nesbitt, a senior associate in Burges Salmon's Real Estate team, has been appointed as the new Chairman of the NextGen Committee for the British Council for Offices (BCO) in the South West and South Wales Region.
Established in 1990, the BCO’s objective is to research, develop and communicate best practice in all aspects of the office sector and it has become Britain's leading forum for the discussion and debate of issues affecting the office sector.
BCO NextGen aims to mentor and encourage the next generation of professionals to become future leaders in the office sector, whilst providing a platform for new talent to air their ideas. The South West and South Wales NextGen Committee, comprising seven professionals from the region, will be focusing on links with leading education bodies and provide a varied programme of seminars and networking events to the membership. Since its launch in 2009, NextGen, both regionally and nationally, has been going from strength to strength.
Drew said: “It is a privilege to be appointed chairman of the BCO NextGen Committee in the South West and South Wales. I, with the help of the NextGen Committee, look forward to helping develop the next generation of professionals in the office sector in the South West and South Wales over the coming year."
Colin Ligman, Head of the Real Estate practice at Burges Salmon, said: "We are delighted to see Drew's appointment as the new Chairman of the NextGen Committee, which is richly deserved and reflects the work that both he and the team undertake for our diverse portfolio of clients in the real estate sector."
