RenewableUK, the UK’s leading not-for-profit renewable energy trade association, has established the Board in order to support its main Board by providing a greater range of views on key issues. The successful applicants hold senior roles at a wide variety of companies across the sector and have been appointed in line with the association’s commitment to diversity.
Emma advises on commercial contracts and the regulatory framework within the sector and has recently advised on corporate PPAs, grid sharing agreements and joint development arrangements.
The Shadow Board will meet at least four times a year with members sitting for 18 months, gaining valuable board-level experience whilst also supporting the association with fresh knowledge and insight from their diverse backgrounds in the sector.
RenewableUK’s Chair Stephen Bull, who is Senior Vice President for Wind and Low Carbon Development at Equinor, and Board member Lindsay McQuade, CEO of ScottishPower Renewables, will also sit on the Shadow Board.
On her appointment, Emma says: “I am thrilled to learn that my application to join the Shadow Board has been successful. Working on this new initiative will be a fantastic opportunity to meet highly experienced colleagues within this dynamic sector and I am looking forward to learning from the support and coaching of Stephen and Lindsay.”
