Burges Salmon has been shortlisted for ‘Private Client Legal Team of the Year (large firm)’ and ‘Contentious Trusts and Estates Team of the Year (large firm)’ in the STEP Private Client Awards 2020/21.
An international association for practitioners specialising in family inheritance and succession planning, STEP has 20,000 members from a range of professions. Its annual awards, now in the 15th year, celebrate excellence among private client lawyers, accountants and other specialists across the world and are widely recognised as the most prestigious awards in the industry.
The firm has now been awarded STEP’s ‘Private Client Legal Team of the Year’ accolade on three occasions, having been shortlisted five times.
Burges Salmon partner John Barnett, who heads the firm’s Private Client team, says: “The STEP Private Client Awards showcase the best of our industry and so we’re delighted that our practice has been recognised in two categories at this year’s event.”
Justin Briggs, a disputes and litigation partner at the firm, adds: “I am delighted that the Litigation team at Burges Salmon has been nominated for this prestigious award in the first year of entering. We have a truly outstanding team of trusts and estates litigators and are extremely passionate about what we do. It is therefore immensely satisfying to see our commitment to this important and growing practice area recognised by the profession in this way.”
Winners will be announced at a virtual ceremony set to take place on 9 December 2020.
