Burges Salmon has been shortlisted for five accolades at the Legal Cheek Awards 2022, with nominations in categories including: Best law firm for training 2022, Best law firm for peer support 2022, Best law firm office 2022, Best law firm for eco-friendliness 2022, and The Legal Cheek firm of the year 2022.
The Legal Cheek Awards’ shortlists are derived from their annual trainee and junior lawyer survey, where a series of questions are put to over 2,000 trainees and junior lawyers from nearly 150 of the country’s leading law firms and chambers. Participants are asked to rate their firms on a scale of one to ten in a number of key areas including: quality of training/work, peer support, superior approachability, work/life balance, facilities, perks, eco-friendliness, technology and adaptiveness to remote working.
The nominations aptly reflect the firm’s collaborative, cohesive culture. The ‘Best law firm for training 2022’ nomination echoes the firm’s award-winning training programme offering top quality work with high profile clients and first-class training – as well as a wide-range of responsible business opportunities and an enviable work-life balance – for the firm’s trainees, with secondment opportunities and a six seat training programme designed to provide a greater range of experience.
Similarly, the firm’s ‘Best law firm for eco-friendliness 2022’ nomination is indicative of its work in acting for an environmentally sustainable future that positively impacts the community. Respect for the environment is integral to the firm’s responsible business agenda and part of stakeholder expectations for both the firm’s people and its clients. The firm is working towards Net Zero with its own carbon reduction pathway as well as successfully delivering Net Zero services to a range of clients.
Roger Bull, Burges Salmon’s Managing Partner, says: “It comes as no surprise to me that Burges Salmon has been nominated in so many fantastic categories at the Legal Cheek Awards 2022. It stands to reason that having a motivated workforce and a strong workplace culture will have a hugely positive impact on all aspects of our business – for our people, our clients and for the wider communities around us.”
The winners of this year’s awards will be announced at an event taking place at Landing Forty Two, The Cheesegrater in London on Thursday 24 March.
