Social responsibility is an embedded part of Burges Salmon’s culture and the firm is proud of its long-standing commitment to the community. The firm is a signatory to the UN Global Compact and has integrated the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The firm is a member of Business in The Community (BITC) and has made public commitments and objectives in relation to social responsibility including the respect of human rights, community engagement and diversity and inclusion.
The firm also enables its people to volunteer, fundraise and provide pro-bono legal services and pursues continuous improvement by seeking feedback from its stakeholders, along with participating in relevant benchmarks such as the Social Mobility Employers Index.
