Burges Salmon has been nominated in two categories at the HealthInvestor Awards 2023, for both ‘Legal Advisors of the Year – Private’ and 'Legal Advisors of the Year – Public’.
The HealthInvestor Awards promote excellence and recognise outstanding performance in the independent healthcare sector, with nominees judged on their contribution to healthcare over the past 12 months, throughout which Burges Salmon’s Healthcare team has advised clients on complex projects across the healthcare, social care and health tech sector market.
The firm’s shortlisting in the 'Legal Advisors of the Year – Private’ category is in recognition of the high calibre of work that Burges Salmon’s Healthcare team has been involved with over the past year. The firm’s Healthcare team, led by partner Patrick Parkin, has continued to grow throughout 2022, advising clients at the forefront of the market from independent healthcare providers, health tech start-ups, medical device manufacturers, private equity and debt finance providers.
The nomination for 'Legal Advisors of the Year – Public’ is in respect of the firm’s advice given throughout 2022 on some of the most important projects in the sector, providing specialist healthcare advice across a wide range of legal practice areas. This nomination reflects the significant work the team has undertaken for central government, the NHS and other public sector clients.
Patrick Parkin says: “We are extremely proud to have been shortlisted for these award categories. Our clients operate in a highly regulated and challenging environment and our role is to bring our experience of both the private and public sectors to the fore to help them thrive. We look forward to continuing to work with them in the coming year and beyond.”
Winners will be announced at an awards dinner on 7 June at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, with Burges Salmon representatives joining over 1,000 delegates from across the sector.
