Leading UK law firm Burges Salmon is the main sponsor of the 14th Annual Rail Stations and Property Summit, which is taking place at Dexter House in London on Thursday 27 February.
Headlined by Crossrail, HS2, Network Rail, the DfT, TfL and the GLA, the event will focus on the potential for major development to be unlocked as a result of investment in rail.
The continued surge in rail travel, along with the opportunities for economic and urban growth, means that rail stations and their surrounding lands have become popular locations for property development, retail activity and connectivity. This is helping contribute to the transformation of city centres across the UK and is opening up opportunities for property investment and the provision of new areas for housing and commercial growth.
The rail stations and property event will address:
- how stations and their surrounding areas are becoming the focus for major commercial development projects
- partnerships that rail industry, real estate and local authority and enterprise partners are forging to share economic advantages.
Philip Beer, a partner in Burges Salmon's Rail team and chair of the Summit’s plenary sessions, said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring this sector-defining event, which will provide the opportunity for the most important players across the property and rail industries to come together to discuss rail-led investment and development opportunities.”
