This year, Burges Salmon is once again sponsoring the Bristol Pride Festival, which this year is taking place on Saturday 13 July.
2019 is the 10th anniversary of Bristol Pride, with the organisers arranging big plans to celebrate! Burges Salmon volunteers will be marching in the Pride parade, which begins in Castle Park in the morning.
After welcoming an incredible 36,000 people to Pride last year, this year the festival is moving to the Bristol Downs to double the capacity. Live performers include Melanie C of the Spice Girls, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Sonique.
As well as live music, there will be a family area with plenty of activities and entertainment. There will also be a wide variety of food and drink stalls, along with a community area and exposition where campaign groups, charities and festival corporate partners (including Burges Salmon) will be on hand to have a chat with the festival goers and support the event.
Burges Salmon partner and head of the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Group, Liz Dunn, says: "We value a diverse workforce and the contribution each individual makes. Our culture is open and collaborative and we strive to promote an inclusive environment where everyone feels they can be themselves at work. Many thanks to everyone involved in BProud, our internal LGBT+ network, and our allies and ambassadors across the firm, for supporting and celebrating diversity this year."
