Abbie is a solicitor in the Commercial and Technology team, with significant experience across intellectual property, commercial contracts, technology, cyber security and data protection matters.

She trained at Burges Salmon and qualified in August 2023. Abbie has advised a range of public and private sector organisations in various sectors including retail, food, hospitality, healthcare, technology, transport and energy.

Experience

Yeo Valley: Providing contractual and strategic advice to Yeo Valley across a range of contractual and IP matters.
M&A transactions: Carrying out data protection, intellectual property and contract due diligence in respect of M&A transactions for cutting-edge technology and retail businesses and for clients in the regulated industries of transport, energy and telecoms.
Amazon Web Services: Advising on contracts to provide cloud-based services to public and private sector clients.
Online food delivery platform: Assisting with urgent strategy and response to affected Data Subjects following a large-scale ransomware associated cyber attack and data breach.
John Lewis: Advising the group on commercial contracts, intellectual property considerations and data protection advice.
Technology and data protection: Advising on complex technology and data protection matters, including data sharing, processing and compliance arrangements, DPIAs, data sharing agreements and international transfers.
