About

Bethan is a senior associate in the firm’s Corporate team with significant expertise supporting both domestic and international developers, investors and funders on energy transactions and Net Zero projects.

Having joined the firm in 2018, she has become a key member of the firm’s Energy and Utilities sector team and works closely with clients and the wider sector team on M&A, joint ventures, group reorganisations, equity fundraisings and a range of other general corporate matters across a full suite of energy technologies and projects, including solar, battery storage, wind, waste and anaerobic digestion.

Experience

  • Bluefield Solar and GLIL Infrastructure: Advising on the joint acquisition of a 247MW portfolio of 58 operational solar assets located across southern and central England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, from Lightsource bp.
  • Bluefield Solar: Advising on several significant M&A transactions, including the acquisition of a portfolio of 15 operational solar photovoltaic plants, and the separate acquisition of a 93.2MW solar and wind portfolio.
  • Renewables Connections Developments and European Energy: Advising on the sale of several shovel-ready solar and battery storage projects across England and Scotland.
  • Pulse Clean Energy: Advising on the acquisition of a 99MW battery energy storage system in Hampshire from Harmony Energy Income Trust plc.
  • RDC Partners: Advising on the sale of rights to construct a 50MW onshore wind farm in South Lanarkshire to Octopus Renewables.
  • Beauparc: Advising on the acquisition of Yorkshire waste specialist Acumen Waste Services.
