Helen has 30 years’ experience in transactional intellectual property and commercial contracts, particularly in the food and drink, retail, healthcare, sport, nuclear and defence sectors. She heads our Commercial and Technology team, and is a recognised leader in her field.
Experience
- John Lewis & Waitrose: Advising on multiple major relationship agreements including Waitrose’s partnership with Welcome Break.
- UK Atomic Energy Authority: Advising on complex IP issues across several projects, including STEP, a UK-led, world-leading programme to develop fusion energy, scale it, and then deliver it at pace.
- Yeo Valley: Advising on branding and commercial contracts, including the brand licence granted to Arla Foods BV to establish their joint venture.
- Guys & St Thomas’s NHS Trust: Advising on IP collaborations, including with King’s College London to develop MedTech.
- Ultra Electronics Limited: Advising on the hive-down of UEL’s business into its divisions, including transfer of its material contracts and IP to seven newly incorporated subsidiary companies.
- Bristol City Council: Advising on IP aspects of City Leap, a first of a kind project in the UK, aimed at bringing together private sector and community partners to deliver a long-term multibillion programme of energy and infrastructure investment.
