About

Jen is a director in the Planning and Compulsory Purchase team and has extensive experience within planning and compulsory purchase law, with a focus on energy and utilities, regeneration and transport projects.

Her experience includes acting on large-scale infrastructure projects (including NSIPs), advising on EIA, Habitats Directive, water and marine licensing issues, assisting with the promotion and implementation of compulsory purchase orders (CPOs) for acquiring authorities and advising objectors to CPOs and dealing with complex compensation issues.

Jen regularly speaks at legal and industry events and is a member of the Compulsory Purchase Association and National Infrastructure Projects Association.

Experience

  • Equinor: Advising on all aspects of the consenting of the Dudgeon and Sheringham Shoal Offshore Wind Farm Extension Projects.
  • North Somerset Council: Advising on planning application and compulsory purchase orders for the £97m Banwell Bypass project.
  • Canal & River Trust and the Environment Agency: Joint instruction promoting four compulsory purchase orders for the Unlocking the Severn project
  • National Highways: Advising on numerous DCO projects, including the A303 Sparkford to Illchester Dualling and the M20 J10A scheme.
