About

Kate is an associate in the firm’s Dispute Resolution team and acts for commercial and public sector clients on a broad range of matters. She has a particular focus on large scale public inquiries and investigations, as well as broad experience in commercial and financial disputes.

Her experience includes representing clients in public inquiries, High Court and Court of Appeal proceedings, as well as advising clients on alternative forms of dispute resolution, including mediation. She is also familiar with arbitration proceedings, having advised clients in both LCIA and ICC arbitrations.

  • Major Public Inquiry: Advising a key Core Participant in a major high-profile public Inquiry.
  • Major Public Inquiry: Acting as part of the Solicitor to the Inquiry team in a major four nation-wide public Inquiry.
  • Financial Services Regulatory: Advising firms on FCA enforcement actions.
  • Insurance Recovery for Policyholders: Advising commercial policyholders on complex and disputed insurance coverage claims. Kate has particular experience advising on professional indemnity and D&O insurance policies.
  • Corporate and Commercial Disputes: Acting for clients in a variety of sectors on substantial business disputes, including major supply contract disputes, joint-venture disputes, and highly contentious s.994 petitions.
