About

Peter joined our Projects team in 2019, and before that, trained and worked in the London office of a leading international firm.

In 2016, he spent nine months on secondment to NNB Generation Company Limited (a subsidiary of EDF) where he worked as part of a team established to deliver compliance with the key contracts for the Hinkley Point C project.

Peter is a well-rounded, pragmatic projects lawyer with a wide range of experience spanning a number of technologies, including fusion, fission, onshore and offshore wind, rooftop and ground-mounted solar, pumped hydro, biomass, waste-to-energy, battery storage, gas and CHP, carbon capture and storage, and hydrogen. He has advised on power and energy projects both internationally and domestically.

He focuses particularly on the commercial and regulatory aspects of projects and transactions (including subsidy arrangements) and specialises in drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts (such as power purchase, offtake, route-to-market, grid-sharing, supply, distribution, and fuel and feedstock agreements).

Peter is also a key member of our multi-disciplinary Energy Tech practice, providing cutting-edge legal solutions to clients navigating the dynamic intersection of energy and technology.
