Rachel is a senior associate in the firm’s Real Estate team, having joined Burges Salmon in 2012.
She represents a wide range of clients including corporate and institutional clients, charities, private individuals and family trusts across a broad range of transactional real estate services.
Rachel’s main focus is advising landowner clients on strategic land opportunities, but she also advises on general and commercial real estate matters, including transactions involving assets of historic significance.
Experience
- Church Commissioners for England: Advising on several residential housing schemes across the UK, including monitoring development milestones and compliance with overage provisions, negotiating utilities agreements and facilitating onward disposals.
- The Crown Estate: Advising on site assembly and the disposal of a number of strategic land development sites across the UK including conditional and unconditional sale contracts, development agreements and option agreements.
- Private Family Trust: Providing specialist advice on landowner equalisation, collaboration and cross option agreements between a private family trust and other adjoining private landowners situated in the south west of England.
- UK Charity: Advising on the ongoing performance and disposal of development land pursuant to a promotion agreement relating to land on the outskirts of Cambridge.
- The Crown Estate: Advising on the management of a range of real estate assets including buildings, structures and monuments of historic significance.
- Private Landowner: Acting on the purchase and back to back sale of a former MOD airfield involving sale and lease backs and environmental issues.
