About

Rob is a director in our top-ranked Construction and Engineering team and is ranked ‘Band 1’ in Chambers & Partners 2025 and ‘Commended’ in The Times ‘Best Law Firms 2025’ report. He is also ranked as an ‘Associate to watch’ in Chambers & Partners 2025.

He advises a wide-range of clients on the delivery of infrastructure projects within the UK, with a particular focus on large-scale, cutting-edge projects within the nuclear, renewable and wider energy sectors. He regularly drafts, negotiates and advises on construction, engineering and professional services contracts for such projects.

Rob is experienced and adept in using all major standard forms of construction and engineering contract, with particular expertise in advising on FIDIC and NEC3/4 based forms.

Experience

  • Major utility company & developer: Leading negotiations on £100 million+ contracts for the supply and installation of key equipment for new nuclear power plants.
  • Non-departmental government body: Advising a developer of a first of a kind fusion power plant on contracting strategy and developing contracts for the supply of associated works and plant.
  • Major utility company & developer: Drafting and negotiating construction and operation & maintenance contracts for a 68MW ground-mounted solar project with co-located battery storage.
