About

Ross is a partner in the Real Estate team, and heads our Built Environment sector team. He is a highly experienced transactional real estate lawyer, who specialises in complex development projects, investment and asset management.

He specialises in large-scale regeneration projects (often in joint venture) with a focus on mixed-use projects and office and industrial developments. He also advises on investment transactions and asset management, acting for investors, developers, funders, asset managers and the public sector on such transactions.

Ross is our lead for net zero in the built environment (having previously sat on the UK Green Building Council’s Task Force on achieving net zero in new commercial buildings).

Ross is qualified to practise in England and Wales, and is listed as a leading lawyer in both Legal 500 and Chambers, He is a regular speaker and commentator on real estate and the built environment.

  • Indurent: Advising on multiple industrial development projects throughout the UK.
  • St Modwen: Advising on multiple large mixed-use development projects, including its partnership with Homes England to deliver 1,500 homes at Locking Parklands.
  • Tritax Big Box REIT: Advising on all property aspects of its £5 billion logistics portfolio, including asset management, acquisitions and disposals.
  • University of Bristol: Advising on the development of its new £500 million campus adjoining Bristol Temple Meads.
  • Confidential Funder: Advising on the real estate aspects of a loan to develop a new 24,000 sq ft arena in Manchester.
  • Confidential Private Equity Investor: Advising on the real estate aspects of its £120 million acquisition of a portfolio of build to rent properties in London.
