Adam is a solicitor in the Planning and Compulsory Purchase team, and specialises in matters relating to the consenting of major infrastructure projects, promoting compulsory purchase orders and acting in judicial review proceedings with a focus on the renewable energy sector.
He advises major renewable energy developers on the consenting process for nationally significant infrastructure projects, including the negotiation of bespoke protective provisions with statutory undertakers and environmental impact assessments. He also advises on the promotion of compulsory purchase orders, as well as in relation to disputes relating to compulsory purchase compensation.
Adam regularly acts for landowners and developers in drafting and negotiating planning agreements, including s.106 and s.104 agreements, often for renewable energy or housing projects. He also acts in judicial review and statutory challenge proceedings.
Adam advises on common land and town and village green issues, including advising landowners on the risk of registration and the process of obtaining consent to carry out works on common land.
