Amy is a director in the firm’s dispute resolution team, helping clients arrive at the right solution to their issue, minimising impact and maximising success. She is supported by our extensive dispute resolution practice with a proven track record in the highest-profile cases and cross-border, multi-sector expertise. She helps clients to resolve disputes in a commercial and cost-efficient manner through settlement, negotiated dispute resolution and court proceedings. 

Amy’s litigation experience (acting for both claimants and defendants) spans the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. She advises nationally and internationally on all aspects of dispute resolution, including complex multi-party claims, with a particular focus on: 

• Contractual and commercial disputes
• Professional negligence disputes
• Pensions disputes
• Company and shareholder disputes
• Group actions (typically defendant side)

• Representing pension scheme employers and trustee claimants in several multi-million pound professional negligence claims against former actuarial, investment and legal advisers.
• Advising an energy company on the termination of a large-scale electricity supply contract and the subsequent claim for significant liquidated damages.
• Representing one of several defendants in a group claim by approximately 600 individuals, concerning allegations of conspiracy, breaches of data protection legislation, the misuse of private information and defamation claims.
• Acting for the affected members of the Safeway Pension Scheme in the largest equalisation case ever to come before the courts.
• Advising multiple trustees on administration errors and benefit rectification.
• Representing two local authorities in the Local Government Pension Scheme as Interested Parties in judicial review proceedings concerning a contractor’s right to receive an 'exit credit' on exiting an LGPS pension fund.
• Acting for a government company in a dispute concerning the correct contractual interpretation of a concession agreement.
• Acting in various contract and commercial disputes governed by the LCIA rules, ICC rules and ad hoc arbitration agreements, ranging in value from £2 million to £50 million.
• Advising a major UK supermarket in an appeal of fines issued by the Competition and Markets Authority.
