Emma is a senior associate professional support lawyer within the Banking and Finance team. With over nine years’ experience as a qualified banking lawyer at Burges Salmon advising banks, FTSE250 companies and institutional investors, she became a senior professional support lawyer in 2017.
Her focus is on ensuring the legal technical excellence of the lawyers within the Banking and Finance team and leading and facilitating business critical projects. This includes developing and facilitating the department’s technical legal and business development training programme and delivering knowledge and know-how support to the team.
Emma is also responsible for updating and maintaining legal precedents, including using automation platforms, supporting lawyers in technical legal matters and assisting marketing and business development projects.
She provides comprehensive support to the banking team in all aspects of Banking and Finance work including specialising in real estate finance, project finance and general corporate banking transactions.
Emma also contributes to the firm’s strategic initiatives, including supporting the investigation and deployment of knowledge management and research tools, AI platforms and other innovation products and projects critical to business success. She also works to develop and facilitate technical innovation within the banking team.
