Faadil is an associate in the firm’s Banking and Finance team specialising in corporate restructuring and insolvency. He regularly acts for financiers, banks, insolvency practitioners, creditors and debtors.
He has experience working on a wide range of matters including restructurings, distressed debt transactions, insolvency, enforcement and commercial disputes across various industries including financial services, retail, property and utilities.
Faadil also regularly coordinates with multi-jurisdictional teams on transactions with international elements.
Experience
- Global workspace provider: Advising a large multinational workspace provider on the English law elements of its global restructuring, coordinating alongside a Chapter 11 process and across 27 jurisdictions.
- Modular house building group administration: Advising the group and subsequently administrators on the administration and wind down of the group.
- Bridal fashion group: Advising a bridal fashion group on their consensual recapitalisation process in 2023.
- Large retail group: Advising a large multinational retail group on its negotiations with creditors, its scheme of arrangement in 2021 and its global legal settlement in 2022.
- UK shopping centre group: Advising on a large UK shopping centre group on its pre-insolvency liability management in 2020, and subsequently advising solvent property owning companies following the group’s insolvency.
