George is a solicitor in the Planning and Compulsory Purchase team, having trained at Burges Salmon and qualified in August 2024. He has worked on a range of planning matters, with particular experience in offshore wind projects and compulsory purchase matters.
He has experience negotiating and drafting statutory agreements, including highway agreements and section 106 agreements.
Experience
- Environment Agency: Part of the core compulsory purchase order (CPO) inquiry team supporting the Oxford Flood Alleviation Scheme (OFAS).
- bp & EnBW: Part of the core team in preparing a complex application for development consent for the Morgan and Morecambe Joint Transmission Project, connecting two electrically separate offshore windfarms to the National Grid.
- bp & EnBW: Part of the core team supporting the Morgan Offshore Wind Project Generation Assets DCO Examination, which is a proposed development for a 1.5 gigawatt offshore wind farm in the Irish Sea.
