Helen trained at Burges Salmon and qualified into the Employment team in 2021. She is an associate in the Employment team with a particular interest in Employment Tribunal litigation and the employment aspects of data protection work, such as employee data subject access requests. She advises both employers and employees on a range of contentious and non-contentious employment and HR matters.
Helen has experience conducting a wide range of Employment Tribunal litigation including unfair dismissal claims, discrimination claims, whistle blowing and pay claims as well as advising on and responding to employee data subject access requests and other employment related data protection queries.
She is also a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
Experience
- Major retailer: Representing a major retailer in respect of several Employment Tribunal claims encompassing the full spectrum of claims from complex discrimination claims to pay claims.
- Large public sector organisation: Handling a number of data subject access requests brought by employees of a large public sector organisation, including various requests with interlinking grievances or Employment Tribunal litigation.
- Large public sector organisation: Advising on a TUPE transfer and setting up of new organisation within a large public sector organisation.
- Drafting contracts: Drafting contracts of employment, service agreements, HR policies and handbooks for a wide range of businesses.
- Employment queries: Advising on employment-related data protection queries as well as a full range of HR queries on client employment helplines.
- Sensitive and complex workplace investigations: Advising on sensitive and complex workplace investigations both where these are handled internally and externally.
