Overview

Kate joined Burges Salmon in 2000. Having specialised in employment law from qualification, gaining wide experience of handling contentious and non-contentious matters, primarily for employers, Kate then became a professional support lawyer.

Kate's role now focuses on developing client initiatives, client relationship management and employment law training.

Key responsibilities at Burges Salmon include the preparation and delivery of tailored employment law training programmes for clients, preparing and presenting client seminars on employment law topics, developing the client care programme, organising business development initiatives and keeping the employment team up-to-date with legal developments.

Kate regularly writes articles for leading HR publications including Employers' Law and Personnel Today. Kate is also a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.

In 2023 Kate was appointed to The Law Society's Employment Law Committee.
