Laura has experience advising a range of public and private sector organisations in the defence, public procurement and healthcare sectors.
Her experience includes advising clients on contractual, regulatory and strategic matters. In addition, Laura has in-house experience, having undertaken secondments at a national private healthcare provider and an international technology company, as well as providing external counsel bench support to both public and private sector clients.
Experience
- Ministry of Defence: Supporting teams advising on large value and long term programmes, including the procurement of a wide area network (WAN) and submarine build, infrastructure and air capabilities.
- Innovate UK (part of UK Research & Innovation): Negotiating collaboration and funding agreements to establish a £30 million antimicrobial resistance (AMR) programme, supporting the UK’s research into addressing the threat of AMR.
- UK private healthcare provider: A six-month secondment providing contractual and commercial advice, including supporting with contract management and service changes, negotiating contracts with commissioners and the supply chain and delivering training.
- International technology company: Virtual secondment as part of a team undertaking internal compliance review and working closely with in-house legal counsel.
- Public and private sector clients: Advising on contracts and procurements of varying levels of complexity and value including strategy, frameworks, call-off contracts and clarifications; supporting multi-stakeholder, multi-disciplinary teams.
