About

Lauren is a Senior Associate in our Edinburgh office. She has a wide range of experience in all types of real estate transactions and specialises in the property aspects of renewable energy projects. She has extensive experience acting for developers, investors, funders and landowners in connection with energy and infrastructure projects. She works closely with and co-ordinates input from other disciplines to deliver renewable energy projects.

Lauren’s experience covers a wide range of technologies including hydrogen, onshore wind, solar, battery energy storage, pumped hydro, gas peaking plants and biomass projects. She also has a keen interest in onsite generation and the interplay between the energy and built environment sectors.

Experience

  • Advising Thrive Renewables on the acquisition of the 14 turbine and 57MW Whitelaw Brae Wind Farm.
  • Renewable Connections Developments: Leading the Scottish team developing the developer’s Scottish solar and battery portfolio.
  • Solar and Battery Energy Storage: Regularly advising OPDE, EcoDev and Sirius Renewables on solar and battery energy storage projects throughout Scotland, including advising on the site assembly and onward sale of projects.
  • Onshore Wind Developers: Advising in relation to multiple large onshore wind projects across Scotland, securing and negotiating options and leases, noise agreements and servitudes for access and cabling rights.
  • Acting for a developer in relation to the due diligence and acquisition of a multi-technology site with a proposed use as a hydrogen electrolyser, battery, solar and 6MW wind project.
