About

Louise is a senior associate in the firm’s Dispute Resolution team. She joined the firm in May 2024 and has extensive experience acting for Central Government departments, in particular the Ministry of Defence, in relation to procurement law, commercial contractual disputes and public law matters. Louise has led large teams and has a proven track record of success in high-profile/ high-value cases and in complex arbitration.

Her main focus is advising the defence sector, and she has in-depth knowledge of MOD defence contracts, in particular the DEFCONs, the Single Source Contracts Regulations and the Defence and Security Public Contract Regulations.

In procurement, Louise advises both private and public sector clients on contentious public procurement issues as well as responding to urgent procurement challenges, often brought on technical issues in short timeframes.

She is experienced in all stages of litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution.

Louise is a member of our procurement and defence groups, and is a member of the Procurement Lawyers Association.

  • Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus (MHOC) Ltd v Secretary of State for Defence: Advising on a procurement challenge to the award of a contract for military healthcare.
  • MLS (Overseas) Ltd v Secretary of State for Defence: Advising on a procurement challenge relating to a high value contract for supplying Royal Navy ships in ports worldwide.
  • Secretary of State for Health & Social Care & Ors v Warner Lambert LLC: Advising on a claim for inquiry damages regarding Pregabalin.
  • Bank Mellat v HM Treasury: Instructed by HM Treasury regarding a $US 4 billion claim by Bank Mallat as a result of sanctions imposed by HM Treasury.
  • Defence Sector Client : Advising on contractual issues regarding high-value/ high-profile contracts for the provision of military equipment and communications and electronic systems.
