About

Natasha joined Burges Salmon’s Construction and Engineering team in September 2024. With her focus in construction law starting in 2018, she has experience advising public and private organisations across sectors including the built environment, infrastructure, renewable energy, energy and utilities, and nuclear.

Natasha is adept in drafting bespoke amendments to standard form contracts (particularly from the JCT and NEC4 forms of contract) and tailoring provisions for construction and development contracts for complex projects. Her work includes advising clients on contract amendments and risk profiles, and reviewing and drafting construction contracts, consultant appointments, and security documents. She has experience in developing contracts for use in solar, decarbonisation, and nuclear projects.

In contentious matters, Natasha has advised on the merits of claims for defective works, delays, extensions of time, and variations, handling adjudications, litigation, and arbitration. She has also advised in resolving disputes through negotiation or mediation before formal proceedings, and negotiating settlements.
