About
Richard advises on commercial disputes for large UK and international clients and is experienced in all stages of litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution. He is recognised as a leader in his field by Legal 500 where he is ranked as a “Next Generation Partner”.
Playing a lead role in our Dispute Resolution team, he works with his colleagues to help clients arrive at the right solution to their issue, minimising impact and maximising success. He is supported by our extensive Dispute Resolution practice with a proven track record in the highest-profile cases and cross-border, multi-sector expertise.
Richard specialises in procurement challenges/disputes and complex, high-profile High Court proceedings. He also has a strong focus on commercial disputes across the healthcare, tech and defence sectors.
More widely, he has a Postgraduate Diploma from the University of Oxford and is a member of the Procurement Lawyers Association.

- Bidders and purchasing authorities: Advising on major procurement challenges (and judicial reviews) for both bidders and purchasing authorities, including a number of central government departments, across many sectors including healthcare, tech, infrastructure and defence.

- Acting in judicial reviews including in relation to challenges to government decision making during the pandemic.
