Scarlett trained at Burges Salmon and qualified into the Projects team in August 2024, following a four-month client secondment in the Nuclear Operations legal team at EDF Energy. She supports in advising both public and private sector organisations on public procurement, subsidy control, healthcare and energy matters.
Experience
- Kent County Council: Advising on the proposed £45 million subsidy to Dover Harbour Board and associated contractual considerations.
- Nuclear Waste Services: advising on various subsidy control queries relating to the provision of Community Investment Funding.
- Arts Council England: Providing subsidy control advice to the organisation, as well as advising on the procurement aspects of the Arts Council England’s Access Scheme.
- UK Health Security Agency: Advising and assisting with the establishment of a Dynamic Purchasing System for future COVID-19 immunisation campaigns.
- Department for Energy Security and Net Zero: Assisting on the route to market aspects of the Heat Networks Transformation Programme for the delivery of heat networks.
